Indoors, set a personal record in the 5,000 meters with a mark of 19:09.21 at the SDSU Classic (Feb. 12)…set a personal high in the 3,000 meters at the Jim Emmerich/Alumni Invitational with a time of 11:09.55 (Jan. 22)…had a personal best in the mile with a time of 5:45.52 at the Dakota Realty Alumni Meet (Jan. 16)...outdoors, recorded a personal best time of 19:05.27 in the 5,000 meters at the Summit League Championships (May 14) to set a PR in each of the three times she competed in the event…also had a PR of 10:45.11 in the 3,000 meters at the Nebraska Invitational (May 7)…ran a personal best time of 5:23.16 in the 1,500 meters at the Tulsa Duels (March 19)...a member of the Summit League Academic Honor Roll, a Distinguished Scholar and a member of the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.

Was a four-year letter winner in cross country and track at Centerville High School...as a senior, was a first team all-conference and academic all-conference selection...helped the Redettes to a conference championship...was also a first team all-conference pick as a junior and a freshman and was the individual winner at the conference championship as a sophomore...in addition, was a four-year letter winner in basketball where she was academic all-conference as a junior and senior...a three-year member of the National Honor Society.

Born Jan. 17, 1994...daughter of Jon and Robin Schmidt...has a sister, Blair, and a brother, Graydon...sister Blair was a member of the UNO track and field team from 2007-10...majoring in physical therapy.
