COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Omaha Hockey junior goaltender Will Craig has been named to the 2026 National Collegiate Hockey Conference Academic All-Conference Team, the league announced Tuesday.

The Academic All-Conference Team consists of student-athletes with the highest cumulative GPA from each NCHC program. 

To qualify, recipients must be at least a junior and must have completed a full academic year at their current institution, with first-year transfers ineligible.
 
Craig, a business administration major at Omaha, is a three-time NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and a three-time member of the NCHC Honor Roll. He holds a 3.96 GPA.

The members of the first NCHC Academic All-Conference Team for 2025-26 are:

• Boston Buckberger, Denver, Jr., D
• Will Craig, Omaha, Jr., G
• Cole Crusberg-Roseen, Western Michigan, Jr., D
• Dylan James, North Dakota, Sr., F
• Drew Montgomery, Colorado College, Jr., F
• Brayden Morrison, Miami, Sr., F
• Mason Reiners, St. Cloud State, Sr., D
• Kyle Smolen, Arizona State, Jr., F

(8) Omaha travels to Grand Forks, N.D., for an NCHC Quarterfinal matchup against (1) North Dakota at Ralph Engelstad Arena. Fans can listen live on 1290 KOIL or the Varsity Network, with games streamed on NCHC.tv.
