OMAHA, Neb. – Following the 2025-26 season, former Omaha Hockey senior forward Samuel Huo signed an Amateur Tryout Deal with the Tahoe Knight Monsters of the ECHL, announced March 13.

Huo's contract was upgraded to a standard player contract on March 20, and he has appeared in eight games with Tahoe, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights.

During his eighth game with Tahoe, Huo scored his first professional goal.

Huo spent one season with the Mavericks, playing in 30 games and totaling seven goals and nine assists for 16 points.

"It was great having Sam join us for his senior season," said Omaha head coach Mike Gabinet. "We wish him all the best as he transitions into his pro career."
