OMAHA, Neb. (April 16, 2026) — Omaha Hockey head coach
Mike Gabinet added defenseman Jayden Jubenvill to the Mavericks through the NCAA Transfer Portal ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Jubenvill arrives in Omaha after spending two seasons at fellow NCHC member North Dakota. He appeared in 37 games as a freshman (2024-25), recording two goals and four assists for six points. Jubenvill led all rookie defensemen in scoring, while also ranking second on the team and leading all blueliners with a plus-8 rating. He also blocked 43 shots, the fourth-most on the Fighting Hawks.
As a freshman, he earned NCHC Academic All-Conference honors and was named an NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete.
This past season, he saw action in 15 games for UND, recording two assists.
"We are excited to add Jayden to our team," Gabinet said. "He brings two valuable years of experience in the NCHC. I have always liked his game and appreciate his competitiveness."
Prior to his collegiate career, Jubenvill played two seasons with the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL). He played in 115 games, totaling 13 goals and 29 assists for 42 points, and added five postseason points in 2023-24, helping Dubuque reach the Clark Cup Final. He was named the top defenseman of the USHL Conference Finals after scoring two goals in the series, including an overtime winner in the opener.
