COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – 10 Omaha Hockey student-athletes were named to the NCHC Honor Roll and Distinguished Scholar-Athlete list, the conference announced Wednesday.
To qualify for the NCHC Honor Roll, formerly known as the Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher and have completed at least one full academic year at their current institution, or transferred within the conference after previously earning NCHC academic honors. Student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher also receive Distinguished Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Six Mavericks earned the honor for the fourth consecutive year: seniors Jacob Guévin,
Simon Latkoczy,
Griffin Ludtke,
Cameron Mitchell,
Tyler Rollwagen and
Jacob Slipec.
Four Mavericks received the recognition for the first time:
Marcus Broberg,
Will Craig,
Myles Hilman and
Chase LaPinta.
Craig, Hilman, LaPinta, Ludtke and Mitchell were also named Distinguished Scholar-Athletes.
