OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team is ranked 12th this week in both college hockey polls.

The Mavericks moved up one spot in the USA Today/USA Hockey top 15 poll while they maintained their position from last week in the USCHO.com poll.  Omaha has now been ranked in the USCHO.com poll for six straight weeks and has been in the USA Today/USA Hockey for five consecutive weeks.

Again this week, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference has five teams in both polls.  North Dakota remains atop both polls for the second straight week.  In the USCHO.com poll, Miami is sixth, Minnesota Duluth is ninth and Denver is 11th.  In the USA Today/USA Hockey poll, Miami is seventh while the other two teams occupy the same spots.

This weekend, the Mavericks return home for just their third home series of the year when they host St. Cloud State on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12-13.  Friday's game begins at 7:37 p.m. and can be seen on NET 1 and Fox College Sports.  

Saturday's game starts at 8:07 p.m., one hour later than the Mavericks' usual start time on Saturday.  The move is being made to accommodate a Creighton basketball game at the CenturyLink Center earlier in the day.
