OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team lost to NAIT 4-0 in an exhibition game on Monday night to open the 2014-15 season.

After a scoreless second period, NAIT got two goals in a span of 1:46 and another less than two minutes later to put the game out of reach.
John Dunbar had a goal and an assist to lead the NAIT attack.
Ryan Massa took the loss in goal, allowing only the first period tally on 10 shots.
Kirk Thompson worked a scoreless second period with eight saves, and freshman
Brock Crossthwaite allowed three goals on 17 shots.
The Mavericks are back on the ice of the CenturyLink Center on Friday, Oct. 10 when they begin a two-game series with Minnesota State.
