OMAHA, Neb. - The University of Nebraska Omaha athletic department announced today that the start time for its home hockey game with Miami on Saturday, Nov. 23 has been changed to 8:07 p.m. The game was originally scheduled to start an hour earlier.
The change is being made to accommodate Creighton basketball which is playing a televised game at the CenturyLink Center at 2:30 p.m. that afternoon. The additional time will allow the CenturyLink Center staff more time to change the event floor from basketball court to ice rink.
The Mavericks play their first game on Monday, Oct. 7 when they host the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in an exhibition contest at 7:07 p.m. The regular season begins that weekend when the Mavs host Bentley of Atlantic Hockey on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 11-12.
