Conway, S.C. - The UNO softball team split its first two games at the Coastal Carolina Invitational on Friday. The Mavs opened with a 7-1 win over Saint Peter's before falling to host Coastal Carolina 5-0 in the evening.
UNO's schedule for Saturday has been adjusted. The Mavs (3-6) will now play Saint Peter's at 11 a.m (CT) and Dartmouth at 3:30 p.m. (CT).

The Mavs came out firing with two runs in the first inning and four in the second to take control.
Ashley Lynch doubled in the first inning, and
Lauren Larson moved her to third on a single.
Amber Lutmer walked to load the bases, and
Tonya Peterson singled to left field to score Lynch and Larson for the 2-0 lead.
In the second inning, UNO broke the game open. Larson had an RBI single and Peterson added her third and fourth RBIs of the day with a single.
Molly Negrete added an RBI single for a 6-0 UNO lead after two.
The Mavs added a finaly tally in the third inning, as Lynch singled to score
Lindsay Redding. The Peahens avoided the shutout with a single run in the seventh inning.
Larson finished the game 4-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Peterson went 2-for-4 with four RBIs. Lynch finished 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
Kat Barrow picked up the win to improve to 2-2 on the year. Barrow went the distance, allowing seven hits and one earned run. Barrow struck out a career-high nine batters and walked just one.
Coastal Carolina 5, UNO 0
The Mavs mustered just one hit against Chanticleer ace Kiana Quolas in the nightcap. Peterson's second-inning single was all the Mavs could put up against Quolas, who improved to 7-1 with the win. The Mavs had just three baserunners total in the game.
Dana Elsasser went five innings, giving up five hits and three earned runs. Elsasser posted five strikeouts and two walks while falling to 1-3 on the year.
Ashton Hughes came on in relief and pitched one inning and allowed two hits and one unearned run.
Although the Mavs couldn't get their offense going, they did enter the bottom of the fourth in a scoreless game. But the Chanticleers got a two-run homer by Kory Hayden - her sixth of the year - to break the deadlock. Coastal Carolina added a run in the fifth and two in the sixth to take the win.
