KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The UNO softball team evened its record at the Rebel Spring Games with a pair of wins on Tuesday.
The Mavs rolled past Wagner 10-2 in five innings early in the morning, then shut out Manhattan 5-0 to improve to 2-2 at the tournament and 6-8 overall this season.

Tonya Peterson went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, and
Katelyn Hinton hit a three-run homer in the first inning to break the game open right away.
Molly Negrete had two RBIs for the Mavs as well.
Kat Barrow allowed just four hits and two earned runs. She walked none and struck out two.
Wagner went up 1-0 with a leadoff home run by Kristen Matteoni in the top of the first inning. But the Mavs responded quickly in the bottom of the first.
Ashley Lynch reached on a fielder's choice and
Lauren Larson moved her to third with a double. Peterson singled to center field to score both for a 2-1 lead. After
Amber Lutmer drew a walk, Hinton smashed her first homer of the season over the left field wall to make it 5-1 UNO.
Wagner got one run back in the third inning, but UNO ended the game by run rule with five in the bottom of the fifth. Lynch singled to start the inning and advanced to second on a groundout. Peterson singled to move Lynch to third, then stole second. Lutmer knocked in Lynch on a fielder's choice, while Peterson moved to third.
Lindsay Gilliland pinch ran for Lutmer and stole second, and Negrete hit a two-run single to right center to make it 8-2.
Mara Eeman then doubled down the right field line, and the right fielder's throw into second was errant, scoring both Eeman and Negrete to end the game.
UNO 5, Manhattan 0
Dana Elsasser picked up the Mavs' first Division I shutout this season, throwing a complete-game two-hitter. Elsasser struck out five and walked two.
The Mavs produced more than enough offense with eight hits and five runs. Hinton went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs, including her second homer of the day. Lutmer also homered and went 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
UNO got on the board first in the top of the second. Lutmer doubled home Hinton, who had reached on a single. The Mavs got rolling in the fourth inning on Hinton's two-run shot that scored pinch runner Gilliland. UNO tacked on two more in the sixth on Lutmer's homer that scored Hinton, who had doubled.
The Mavs continue play with games against Army and Rider on Wednesday, beginning at 8 a.m. (CT).
