PITTSBURG, Kan. - The 21st-ranked UNO softball team capped a perfect weekend with a sweep over Pittsburg State on Saturday, 12-0 and 7-5.
The Mavericks improved to 29-5 on the year and 6-0 in the MIAA. UNO has now won 11 straight games and 19 of its last 20. The Gorillas fell to 7-20 and 1-5 in conference play.
UNO rolled to the five-inning win in the first game with four runs in the fourth inning and seven in the fifth inning. Four Mavericks had two hits, and #
Molly Negrete# hit her second home run of the season, a two-run blast in the fourth.

Beth Haley# was dominant in the circle once again, throwing five scoreless innings while allowing four hits. Haley is now 12-3 on the season. #

Feichtinger led the way with three hits and a run scored, while Hinton went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. Larson added a 2-for-3 game with two RBIs and a run scored.
UNO plays its third straight MIAA road series at Northwest Missouri State on Tuesday, with the doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
