OMAHA, Neb. – In the spirit of the holiday season, the UNO hockey team will open the doors of the Qwest Center to both naughty and nice hockey fans for its two-game series with Michigan Tech on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 9 and 10.  Both games begin at 7:37 p.m. and will be the Mavericks' last home games before the New Year.

On Thursday, the evening belongs to the naughty.  The Mavericks are teaming with Z-92 to “Rock With the Mavs”.  Fans can purchase tickets for just $9.20 exclusively at OmahasTeam.com.  There also will be drink and hot dog specials prior to the game.  Z-92 will broadcast live from Qwest Center before the game.  The entire night is sponsored by the Nebraska Lottery.

Friday is a night for the nice.  It's Family Night sponsored by CBS Home.  Children 12 and younger will receive a free ticket with the purchase of an accompanying adult ticket.  Young fans also will have a chance to meet Santa.  The Mavericks will hold their annual Toys For Tots drive in conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corps.  Fans are encouraged to bring a new toy to the game.  Tickets for the game may be purchased at the Sapp Fieldhouse box office or at the Qwest Center box office.

The Mavericks return to action this weekend when they visit Bemidji State for games on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3 and 4.  Friday's game begins at 7:37 p.m., and Saturday's starts at 7:07 p.m.  Both games may be heard live on KVNO, 90.7 FM and on-line at omavs.com.
