The University of Nebraska at Omaha hockey team hits the road this weekend, Jan. 30-31, for a two-game Central Collegiate Hockey Association series agaist 2008-09 clustermate Ferris State in Big Rapids, Mich. Both games are scheduled for a 6:05 p.m. CST face-off and will be broadcast live on 1290 AM KKAR.

The Mavericks and the Bulldogs split a series in Omaha earlier this season. UNO won the Friday contest in that series 4-2 while FSU captured the Saturday game by a score of 3-2. Even with this season's split the Mavs hold a 13-7-2 edge in the all-time series with Bulldogs, and have managed to win six of the twelve games they have played at Robert Ewigleben Ice Arena on the FSU campus, posting a mark of 6-4-2 when visiting Big Rapids.

The last time the Mavericks traveled to Big Rapids was during the 2006-07 season, managing a series split with the Bulldogs, 3-1 and 3-6.
