Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Eight Wolverines scored, including a Chad Kolarik hat-trick, to upend UNO 10-1 Friday night at Yost Ice Arena in game-one of the second round of Central Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs.
The loss is the second worst loss in Maverick history, only topped by the 11-0 loss Feb. 26, 1998 to Maine.
Michigan's second-highest scorer, Kolarick, netted two goals in the first period and one in the third to bring his season total to 27 goals.
The two teams meet again Saturday night for game-two if the CCHA's second round of playoffs. The Mavs must win to push the series to a third game.
UNO ended goalie Billy Sauer's shutout at 2:50 of the third when junior forward
Tomas Klempa knocked a rebound in over Sauer's shoulder. Senior
