SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Omaha senior right-hander Sam Beck was named the Summit League Kwik Star Peak Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Tuesday, following his outing March 29 at St. Thomas.

Beck earned the win in the Mavericks' 11-7 victory, allowing one run on three hits over five innings while striking out five.

Through seven appearances this season, Beck has recorded 28 strikeouts and ranks second in the Summit League with just 13 runs allowed.
