Hockey hosts (RV) Miami (Ohio) in final regular-season home series at Baxter Arena.

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Hockey (11-21-0, 7-15-0 NCHC) returns home to host the (RV) Miami (Ohio) RedHawks (17-13-2, 8-12-2 NCHC) on Feb. 27-28 at Baxter Arena on Kemp Ice. Puck drop is set for 7:07 p.m. CT both nights. Fans can listen live on 1290 KOIL or the Varsity Network, with both games streaming on NCHC.tv.

Friday's series opener will serve as Omaha's annual Leap-For-A-Cure game in partnership with Methodist. All proceeds raised through in-game donations on Feb. 27, along with the online jersey auction, will benefit Leap-For-A-Cure.

The online auction, featuring Omaha's gray jerseys, opened at 9 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at OMavs.com/Auctions and closes at 10:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Saturday's regular-season finale will be a white out at Baxter Arena.

During Omaha's series split against Arizona State at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Ariz., the Mavericks earned a 4-2 victory before falling 6-3 on Saturday night.

In the series opener, freshman forward Marcus Nguyen (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) scored two goals and now leads Omaha with 10 goals on the season.

Freshman forward Jérémy Loranger (Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada) continued his strong stretch, extending his goal streak to three games. On Feb. 21, Loranger factored into all three Maverick goals, recording one goal and two assists. He finished the weekend with four points and has totaled six points (3G, 3A) over his last five games.

Sophomore forward Trevor Wong (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) leads Omaha with 19 points (5G, 14A), while sophomore forward Maxime Pellerin (Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada) (10G, 10A) and freshman forward Luke Woodworth (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada) (4G, 14A) follow with 18 points apiece.

Goaltender and senior co-captain Simon Latkoczy (Trenčín, Slovakia), the Mavericks nominee for the 2026 Hobey Baker Memorial Award and a two-time KJ Branding NCHC Goaltender of the Week this season, recorded 55 saves in the series against the Sun Devils. Over his last four games, he has made 110 saves and carries a 3.22 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.

(RV) Miami (Ohio) is led by Kocha Delic with 23 points (11G, 12A), followed by David Deputy with 21 points (15G, 6A).

With postseason positioning in the NCHC still to be determined, the Mavericks enter the weekend with playoff implications on the line. The NCHC Frozen Faceoff will stream on NCHC.tv.
