OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha Baseball (3-3) travels to Wichita, Kan., for a four-game series against (RV) Wichita State (6-2) from Feb. 26–March 1 at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field at Gene Stephenson Park.
The Mavericks enter Thursday's game against (RV) Wichita State riding momentum after two wins over Western Michigan at the Tony Gwynn Legacy Tournament. Omaha's tournament opener against BYU was canceled due to weather, but the Mavericks rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Western Michigan 8-7 on Feb. 20 at Triton Ballpark in La Jolla, Calif. Omaha followed with a 9-4 victory over the Broncos on Feb. 21 in San Diego, securing its third consecutive win and scoring 20 runs during the stretch.
Through Omaha's first six games, junior
Hayden Lewis (Yuan, Neb.) leads the Mavericks with a .360 batting average and a team-high nine hits. Senior
Chase Diggins (Perth, Australia) is hitting .320 with eight hits and five RBIs.
Sophomore right-hander

Meyer was named the Summit League Kwik Star Peak Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 24, following his dominant outing at Arizona on Feb. 17. He struck out 10 over six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits to earn the win in Omaha's 3-1 victory over the Wildcats. It marked the first weekly honor of his career.
Following the victory, Meyer was ranked No. 1 on the Division I Baseball Tuesday Top Pitchers List.
Senior right-hander
Sam Beck (Riverton, Utah) has also been steady, going 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA across 10 innings of work, limiting opposing hitters to a .167 batting average.
Out of the bullpen, senior right-hander
