OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Vice Chancellor / Director of Athletics
Adrian Dowell announced Thursday that CCM Hockey will become the official on-ice uniform and equipment provider of the Omaha hockey program beginning with the 2025-26 season and continue for five years.
CCM, a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of hockey equipment, becomes the fourth sweater provider in the program's 28-year history and takes over for adidas. As announced previously, adidas will continue to outfit the Mavericks for off-ice activities, including training, travel and coaches/staff apparel.
With the move to CCM, the Mavericks will reveal four new sweater designs to coincide with the team's 29th campaign.
For the first time, Omaha hockey fans will be able to purchase authentic on-ice, customizable sweaters with details to come.
We are thrilled to welcome CCM as the on-ice sweater and equipment provider for our storied hockey program," said Dowell. "With our new partnership with CCM, we are able to offer our student-athletes premium equipment and allow Maverick fans to share their pride with the long-awaited ability to sport what the team wears. We look forward to seeing our barn full of fans of all ages sporting their new, authentic, Maverick sweaters."
"CCM has been a leader in hockey equipment for a long time now and it is only fitting that our program partners with one of the most recognizable and high-quality brands in the sport," Omaha head coach
Mike Gabinet said. "This is an exciting time to be an Omaha Maverick and CCM joining only improves that."
"We are incredibly excited and honored to expand our partnership with the University of Nebraska at Omaha men's hockey team. This multi-year agreement allows us to bring our cutting-edge game jersey technology to the ice in Omaha, providing the team with the best possible gear to perform at the highest level. We are proud to be a part of their journey and to contribute to their success in the powerhouse NCHC. This partnership underscores our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation and performance in hockey and we look forward to an exciting future together," said Robert Zaring, Vice President Global Marketing, CCM Hockey.
The agreement with CCM Hockey begins July 1, 2025 and will continue for five years.
