OMAHA, Neb. – (RV) Omaha Hockey (5-5-0, 3-3-0 NCHC) returns home for its 10th straight ranked matchup, hosting No. 8 Western Michigan (7-5-0, 3-3-0) from Nov. 21-22 on Kemp Ice at Baxter Arena.
(RV) Omaha, which owns the nation's No. 1 strength of schedule, is coming off its ninth ranked matchup and fifth ranked victory, a 2-0 road shutout 9 then-No. 3 Minnesota-Duluth on Nov. 15 at AMSOIL Arena, to split the series with the Bulldogs. This marked the Mavericks first shutout of the 2025-26 season.

Dawson Cowan (Warren, Manitoba, Canada) made his second appearance of the season for (RV) Omaha, turning aside 32 shots, including 17 in the second period.
Two minutes into the second frame, sophomore forward
Myles Hilman (Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada) netted his second goal of the year off a feed from senior forward
Jacob Slipec (White Rock, British Columbia, Canada) and senior defenseman Jacob Guévin (Drummondville, Quebec, Canada) giving the Mavericks their first of the night.
With 13 minutes remaining on an (RV) Omaha power play, junior defenseman Aidan de la Gorgendiere's (Langley, British Columbia, Canada) shot was redirected in by
Marc Lajoie to extend the Mavericks' lead to 2–0.
Following the weekend split, sophomore forward
Maxime Pellerin (Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada) continues to lead the Mavericks in points (8) and goals (5).
(RV) Omaha and No. 8 Western Michigan last met in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Feb. 14–15, where the Broncos swept the series. Western Michigan is coming off another sweep in its most recent matchup, taking both games against (RV) Miami of Ohio.
Through 12 games, junior forward Grant Slukynsky paces the Broncos with 14 points on two goals and 12 assists, while senior forward Liam Valente leads the team with eight goals.
(RV) Omaha Hockey makes its way to New Haven, Conn. for a weekend series against Yale from Nov. 28-29 at Ingalls Rink. The games will be streamed on ESPN+ and fans can listen live on 1290 KOIL or the Varsity Network.
