OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha hockey's Victor Mancini was selected in the fifth round by the New York Rangers. Mancini was the 159th overall pick.

In his debut season for the Mavericks, Mancini played in 38 games. He finished the year with five assists tallying his first of his career vs. Long Island on Oct. 29. Mancini assisted in back-to-back games at St. Lawrence (Jan. 1) and at Denver (Jan. 15).

He is one of five current Mavericks to be drafted.
