After another weekend with another shutout,
Isaiah Saville has another award.
The junior from Anchorage, Alaska, has been named the Co-Goaltender of the Week by the National Collegiate Hockey Conference, sharing the honor with Brandon Bussi of Western Michigan this time.
It is the fifth time this season that Saville has claimed the award and the second time in a row. He posted his fourth shutout of the 2021-22 campaign on Saturday, making 21 saves in a 5-0 win at St. Lawrence.
Saville recorded a .940 save percentage and a 1.52 goals-against average in the series with the Saints as the No. 15 Mavericks (14-6) matched the program record for nonconference wins in a season with 10.
The third-year netminder was also the Goaltender of the Week in mid-December after blanking current No. 3 Western Michigan 1-0 with a 41-save performance at Lawson Arena in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Saville earned the first weekly award of the season after shutting out Lake Superior State during the opening series. His second honor came after winning a pair of home games against Alaska. And the third was following a 6-0 shutout of Long Island that dropped his goals-against average to 1.55 at the time.
On the season, Saville has a 10-5 record with a 2.04 GAA and a .918 save percentage.
This is the sixth time in his career that he has claimed the NCHC's weekly honor.
