LEMONT, Ill. – The Omaha men's golf team sits in 13th place after the first two rounds of the John Dallio Memorial on Monday.
The Mavericks posted team scores of 313 and 317 for a 36-hole total of 630, 54-over par, at the Ruffled Feathers Golf Club. Host DePaul leads with a score of 589, followed closely by Bradley at 591. North Dakota State is third at 604.
Ben Maskus led the Mavericks on day one. He came out strong with a four-under round of 68 that led the tournament before shooting 81 in the second round to finish the day at 149, five over par. That puts him in a tie for seventh in the field of 75 golfers.
Mitch Ryan is second for UNO and tied for 35th overall with scores of 79 and 77 for a total of 156.
Kelly Brown shot 82-81-163 to put him in a tie for 62nd overall.
Kevin Gordon shot 86 to open the tournament but came back with a round of 78 to finish the day at 164, good for a tie for 64th.
Sam Musch completed the scoring for the Mavericks with a score of 165 that featured rounds of 84 and 81.
The final round begins Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
