MADISON, Ill. - Omaha Men's Golf placed two in the top 10 Tuesday as the Mavericks completed the SIUE Dolenc Invitational in eighth of 19 teams.
The Mavericks' 10-under team score of 842 is the second-lowest in program history.
Senior
Spencer Clatt (Gilbert, Iowa) led the Mavericks with a T7 finish, with a final score of 6-under, carding rounds of 72 (+1), 67 (-4) and 68 (-3). Clatt logged a pair of eagles with one in Monday's second round on No. 18 and another on No. 3 in Tuesday's final round. His low round of the week was a 67 in Monday's second round with four birdies and an eagle.
Senior
Ethan Smith (Doniphan, Neb.) finished par or better in each of his three rounds at Gateway National Golf Links with scores of 68 (-3), 71 (E) and 69 (-2) to finish T10 overall. The newcomer led Omaha with 13 birdies and was one of four Mavs to record an eagle (Clatt,
Luke Strako and
Nolan Johnson.
