Box Score OMAHA, Neb. – St. Cloud State's David Morley scored his second goal of the game at 9:49 of the second overtime to push the Huskies past the No. 7/8 Omaha hockey team, 2-1, in game one of their quarterfinal playoff series.

The Mavericks, who fell to 18-11-6 overall, will now have to win two games to advance to the NCHC Frozen Face-Off in Minneapolis next week. St. Cloud State is now 17-17-1 this season and can advance to the Frozen Face-Off with a win on Saturday night. Game time is 7:07 p.m.
The Huskies opened the scoring at 14:02 of the first period. Morley tipped in a shot from the point by Niklas Nevalainen for his 14th goal of the year.
Not long after the goal, starting goaltender
Ryan Massa came out of the game after re-aggravating an injury suffered last week. Thompson came in and did not allow a goal until the game winner. He finished with 30 saves as the Mavericks outshot the Huskies 46-39.
The Mavericks tied the game in the second while skating shorthanded.
Jake Guentzel chased down a loose puck deep in the St. Cloud State zone. He then battled his way free from the defenseman to center a pass to
Austin Ortega who snapped home his team- and career-best 19th goal of the season.
St. Cloud State's Charlie Lindgren stopped 45 shots to earn the win.
