Box Score ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State handed the Omaha hockey team its first series sweep of the season, winning 2-0 on Saturday night.
The Mavericks, who lost 4-3 on Friday, also were shutout for the first time this year and fell to 17-10-3 overall and 11-8-1-1 in the NCHC. They are now tied with Denver for third. St. Cloud State improved to 15-14-1 overall and 10-9-1-0 in conference play, good for sixth.

Ryan Massa at 10:46. The damage could have been worse in the second had it not been for Massa who made several tough saves as the Mavericks were outshot 16-5.
The Huskies got insurance at 13:18 of the third when Jimmy Murray finished off a two-on-one by knocking home a pass from Kalle Kossila.
Massa was outstanding in the loss, making 30 saves while SCSU's Charlie Lindgren earned his second shutout of the season with 21 saves.
The Mavericks' road trip continues next weekend when they visit Minnesota Duluth for games on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28.
