Defenseman Seeler Leaves Maverick Hockey

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha head hockey coach Dean Blais announced today that defenseman Nick Seeler has left the team for personal reasons.

“Nick has chosen to leave the program at this time,” said Blais.  “We wish him well in the next chapter of his hockey career and his life.”

Seeler, who would have been a junior this season, played in 70 career games during the last two seasons, earning six goals and 13 assists for 19 points.  He also had 116 career penalty minutes.

The native of Eden Prairie, Minn. set new career highs last season with four goals and 10 points in 36 games.  He was a fifth round pick (131st overall) of the Minnesota Wild in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
