ST. PETER, Minn. -- The UNO women's tennis team split its two matches at the Gustavas Adolphus Invitational, defeating Gustavus Adolphus 5-4 before falling 9-0 to North Dakota on Saturday.
UNO 5, GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS 4
Gustavus Adolphus opened the match with two doubles wins, as Roop/Born defeated #Traci Moklestad and Kelsie Olson# (9-7) and Shellum/Annis grabbed an 8-2 win over #Heather Hottman and Jessica Hottman#. #Samantha Thomas and Caitlin Christy# won their contest over Roediger/Horton, 8-4.
The Mavericks rebounded in singles action, earning four wins: Moklestad over Mary Roop (6-3, 7-6), Jessica Hottman over Sophie Horton (7-5, 6-1), Christy over Harms (6-3, 6-1) and Thomas over Emily Roediger (6-2, 6-2).

In singles action, Moklestad lost 6-3, 6-1 to Kappers, and Olson fell 7-6, 6-0 to Welk. Heather Hottman suffered a 6-2, 6-0 loss to Ronkowski, while Thomas dropped a 6-2, 6-2 match to Petsis. Blein earned a win over Jessica Hottman (6-4, 6-4), and Galipeau grabbed the final singles match over Christy (6-3, 6-4).
