GREENWOOD, Ind. - Omaha Women's Tennis players Khayli Buckels (Ballwin, Mo.) and Katelynn Kock (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team®, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be named to the Academic All-District Team®, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be a sophomore or above, compete in 90% of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66% of the institution's games.
Buckels recorded a 15-7 mark in singles during the spring season with a 13-4 record in the No. 1 flight. In doubles, the junior went 13-3 while being undefeated in conference play.
Kock went 20-5 in singles with 19 wins in the No. 3 spot to become the winningest player in that flight in program history. In doubles, she went 20-4, all in the No. 1 flight.
Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-America ® is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions.
