SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Four Omaha Women's Tennis players have been named to the All-Summit League lists, the league announced Thursday.
Junior Khayli Buckels (Ballwin, Mo.) and sophomore Katelynn Kock (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) were named All-Summit League while sophomore Nina Wiese (Flushing, N.Y.) and freshman Shelby Smith (Leawood, Kan.) earned honorable mentions.
Buckels ends the season with a 5-1 mark in the No. 1 flight in conference play for singles and a 3-0 record in the No. 3 doubles flight.
Kock led the team with a perfect 6-0 in the No. 3 flight. In the final home match of the year, Kock defeated Denver's Natalie Cinkova to secure a perfect record for the conference season.
Wiese ends the season with a 3-3 record in the No. 2 flight while Smith, in her first year of conference play, wraps up the regular season with a 4-2 record.
The (2) Mavericks will play (3) North Dakota in the first round of the Summit League tournament at 12 p.m. CT in the semifinal round. Omaha beat North Dakota, 4-3, when the two teams met in the regular season. Live stats and a live stream will be available.
