St. Joseph, Mo. - The No. 5 seeded Mavericks were defeated 5-1 in their MIAA Tournament semifinal match against Northwest Missouri at the St. Joseph Tennis and Swim Club on Saturday evening. UNO's potential third place match against Emporia State will depend on an available venue, which will be decided early Sunday morning. The loss against the Bearcats drops the Mavericks to 8-8 overall on the season, with a 3-4 record in regular season Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association play. No. 1 overall seed Northwest Missouri State moves on to the finals where they will meet No. 2 seeded Washburn.
