SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Omaha Women's Tennis duo of Nina Wiese and Katelynn Kock were named Kwik Star Summit League Doubles Team of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced Tuesday.
Wiese (Flushing, N.Y.) and Kock (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) went 2-0 in their first weekend of conference play. Their 6-3 win over St. Thomas clinched the doubles point for Omaha, as did their 6-3 win against Oral Roberts.
As a pair, Wiese and Kock are 17-2 this spring, having won their last 13 matches in a row. They are currently tied for fourth for most doubles wins in a single season in Omaha history.
The dynamic duo will look to continue their win streak at 12:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 4 at North Dakota.
