OMAHA, Neb. – The UNO Mavericks played comeback kids for the second night in a row, erasing two two-goal deficits to earn a 4-3 win over Ohio State on Saturday night at Qwest Center Omaha.  #Jeric Agosta# scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period as the Mavs earned five of six points from the Buckeyes in the weekend series.

The Mavericks improved to 14-12-6 overall and 10-11-3-2 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association.  They continue their four-game home stand with a pair of games against the Michigan Wolverines on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12 and 13 at Qwest Center Omaha.

Trailing 3-2 entering the third period, #Alex Hudson# quickly tied the game, firing home a pass from #Rich Purslow# just 56 seconds into the stanza.

Agosta got the game-winner off a rush later in the period.  #Terry Broadhurst# broke down the left wing and threw a pass in front to a streaking Agosta who tapped it past OSU goalie Dustin Carlson for his team leading 14th goal of the year.

As with the first game of the series, the Mavericks fell behind quickly.  C.J. Severyn scored 15 seconds into the game, and Shane Sims added a powerplay tally at 7:44 to put the Buckeyes up, 2-0.

UNO got one goal back on the power play.  #Eddie DelGrosso# took a feed from Hudson and wired a shot past Carlson to leave the Mavs down by a goal after one period.

The teams exchanged powerplay goals in the second.  Sims scored his second of the night off a bullet from the left point at 5:18.

UNO answered at 13:01.  #Eric Olimb# fired a slap shot off the cross bar.  Broadhurst scooped up the rebound and fired home his ninth goal of the year and fourth of the weekend.

#John Faulkner# made 22 saves to earn his tenth win of the season.  Carlson had 35 saves in the loss for the Buckeyes.
