MARYVILLE, Mo. – The UNO soccer team (9-7-1, 9-5-1 MIAA) secured its third straight win Saturday with a 3-1 victory at Northwest Missouri State.
Three UNO freshmen scored against the Bearcats, including second half goals from #
Monica Bosiljevac and Megan Kingston#.
The Bearcats opened scoring at 13:53 on a pass from Anna Calgaard to senior Kelsey Sanders from the left side.
In the 35th minute, freshman midfielder #
Melanie McCormick# netted her first goal of the season, knocking a Kingston corner kick past Bearcats' goalkeeper Kelsey Adams.
At 53:21, Kingston added her fourth goal of the season on a pass from Bosiljevac and #
Jordyn Braun#. The score was Kingston's second game-winner this year.
Bosiljevac also netted her fourth goal of the season on an unassisted shot at 62:28. Kingston now leads the team in scoring with 15 points.
The Mavericks outshot the Bearcat 14-3 and dominated the corner kick battle 11-3. Senior goalkeeper #

UNO improves to 9-7-1 overall and 9-5-1 against MIAA opponents. Northwest Missouri State falls to 3-10-4 and 3-9-3 in MIAA action. The Mavericks will finish the regular season at Emporia State on Saturday, Nov. 6 in a 1 p.m. conference matchup in Emporia, Kan.
