OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks won one doubles point but were swept in singles play as they fell, 8-1 against NCAA Division I Northern Iowa Saturday at Hanscom Tennis Center.

Nebraska-Omaha (3-4) will remain at home to begin MIAA play Friday against Southwest Baptist at 1:30 p.m. The duel has been moved indoors to Hanscom.

Mary Lausten and Kelsey Haas teamed to win at No. 3 doubles, 8-6 against UNI's Talia Jang-Stewart and Jessica Kunzelmann.

Lausten fell in her No. 5 singles match, 6-2, 6-4 against Diana Mendez and Kelsie Olson brought her No. 6 singles match to 6-4, 6-1, falling to Jang-Stewart.
