KEARNEY, Neb. - The Mavericks came one point short of defeating Nebraska-Kearney Friday as they fell, 5-4 against the Lopers.

Nebraska-Omaha will return home Sunday to host NCAA Division I opponent Northern Iowa at 11 a.m. at Hanscom Tennis Center.

Mary Lausten helped UNO earn two points as she got a win at No. 3 singles and teamed with Heather Hottman for a win at No. 2 doubles. Lausten and Hottman improved to 3-0 this year in doubles play as a team and Hottman won her fifth straight singles match.

Kelsie Olson and Caitlin Christy also earned points for UNO with singles wins. Christy in now 3-0 in singles play during duals and Olson is 4-1.
