Mavs go Extra Innings Twice for Two More Wins

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Mavericks went into extra innings twice for a pair of wins in the Rebel Spring Games Friday. They beat Mass.-Lowell, 3-2 in 10 innings and then topped New Haven, 2-1 in nine innings.

Nebraska-Omaha (19-4) will wrap up its spring break trip with an 8 a.m. game against Augustana (S.D.) Saturday and then a noon game against Wayne State (Mich.).

Lindsey Slocum struck out 16 batters in nine innings against New Haven and allowed three hits. Julia Krejci drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth on a suicide squeeze.

Jenna Dell drove in the winning run in the top of the 10th against UML and Beth Haley earned the win with nine strikeouts.
