OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks swept doubles play and then five of those six doubles players went on to get singles wins as Nebraska-Omaha defeated Missouri Southern, 9-0 Saturday morning at Koch Tennis Center.
The Mavericks improved to 5-4 and 2-0 in the MIAA and will continue conference action next Saturday at Fort Hays State at 2 p.m.
Rachel Faulk and
Traci Moklestad won at No. 1 doubles and then the two went on to win singles points.
Heather Hottman and
Samantha Thomas won No. 2 doubles and then got UNO two more singles points and then
Kelsey Haas and
Mary Lausten won at No. 3 doubles. Lausten won at No. 5 singles and
Kelsie Olson won at No. 6.
Faulk improved to 6-1 at No. 1 singles and 7-2 overall this year. Hottman and Olson each got their team-high 10th wins.
Schedule Note
UNO added a dual with Iowa State, April 8 at 5 p.m. at Koch Tennis Center. This is the fourth NCAA Division I opponent on the schedule.
