OMAHA, Neb. – The UNO hockey team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Western Michigan Broncos on Friday night at Qwest Center Omaha. #
Alex Hudson# scored the second of his two goals in the game to propel the Mavs to the win.
The Mavericks are now 6-4-3 on the season and 3-4-2-1 in the CCHA while the Broncos dip to 5-6-2 and 1-6-2-1 in the league. The two teams will play again on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
Hudson's goal helped the Mavs overcome the Broncos who fought all the way back from a 3-0 deficit. His game-winner came just 18 seconds after Western's J.J. Crew had tied the game at 15:06 of the third period.

Dan Swanson# knocked in his first goal of the season, beating goalie Riley Gill at 2:04.
Hudson made it 2-0 at 6:44 when he charged hard to the net and knocked in his own rebound after Gill stopped his initial shot.

Brandon Richardson# scored his second goal of the season on a power play at 12:33. He deflected a goal-mouth pass from Swanson past Gill to make it 3-0.
Western Michigan responded just 30 seconds later as Derek Roehl beat starting goalie #
Jeremie Dupont# with a wrist shot from the top of the face-off circles.
Chris Clackson scored late in the second period to make it 3-2.

John Faulkner# came in to relieve Dupont to start the third period and earned the win to improve to 4-3-2 on the year. Gill took the loss with 33 saves and is now 4-5-1 on the year.
