Box Score Marquette, Mich. -- Northern Michigan scored two goals in each period to down the Mavericks 6-4 Friday night in Central Collegiate Hockey Association action at the Berry Events Center.
The Wildcats scored four-straight goals before the Mavs were able to hit the back of the net late in the second period.
NMU's goals came from Jared Brown at 12:48 and Matt Siddall at 13:57 of the first, then Mark Olver and Erik Spady each scored at 11:48 and 13:46 of the second. After the fourth Wildcat goal was scored UNO goalie

Northern Michigan responded with goals from Olver at 11:59 and Ray Kaunisto 10 seconds later.
Lawrence netted the second power-play goal with assists from juniors
Tomas Klempa and
Juha Uotila at 13:47. The final UNO power-play goal was scored by freshman defenseman
Alain Goulet at 15:43 with assists from forwards
Dan Charleston and
Joey Martin.
The Mavs are now 14-15-4 overall and 11-12-4 in the conference and NMU rose to 14-16-3 and 11-12-2 in the CCHA. The two teams face off again Saturday night at 6:35 p.m. CST.
