NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The 16th-ranked University of Nebraska at Omaha Mavericks routed the Yale University Bulldogs 8-3 Monday night, scoring seven goals in the final two periods of the non-conference tilt at the Ingalls Ice Rink in New Haven, Conn.

The Mavs fought back from a first period deficit, scoring the game's final six goals to improve to 12-4-3 on the season. Yale, on the other hand, was handed its worst loss of the season and fell to 7-5-0 on the year.
Yale grabbed a brief lead at 5:42 of the first period on a Broc Little shorthanded-breakaway goal. That lead evaporated eighteen seconds later as the Mavericks evened things at 1-1. Sophomore #
Matt Ambroz# drove home the equalizer on the power play at 6:00 with Martin and Kemp each picking up assists.
The Bulldogs chipped in a goal with just 30 seconds remaining on the game clock to take a 2-1 advantage into the first intermission.
UNO and Yale traded goals early in the second. Hudson tied the game at 2-2 just 2:04 into the second frame. Yale's Denny Kearney scored a power-play marker at 7:33 to put the Bulldogs back on top by one.
From there, the Mavericks dominated, reeling off three unanswered goals at the end of the second to take a 5-3 lead into the locker room. DelGrosso and #
Nick Von Bokern#'s scores at 10:55 and 13:30 propelled UNO to the lead while Hudson's second goal of the night extended the Maverick advantage to two at 14:36.
UNO didn't let off the gas in the third, scoring three more times. Olimb bounced one off a Yale defender and into the back of the net for a power-play score 51 seconds into the final period. DelGrosso collected his second goal of the evening at 8:47 to stretch the Maverick lead to 7-3. Sophomore #
Rich Purslow# put the exclamation point on the night, beating Bulldog goalie Alec Richards at 17:22 to widen the final gap to 8-3.

The Mavericks continue their swing through the ECAC on Tuesday, Dec. 30 when they travel to Princeton, N.J. to take on the 8th-ranked Princeton University Tigers. Face-off is 6 p.m. CST and will broadcast live on 1290 KKAR.
