The UNO tennis team saw its 11-match winning streak snapped with a 6-3 loss to Washburn University Thursday afternoon at Koch Tennis Center.
The Lady Blues, ranked No. 4 in the region, won five of six singles matches to rebound after trailing 2-1 after the doubles matches.
Senior
Pam Le earned the only point for UNO in singles competition by knocking off Washburn's Alicia Gardner at No. 4 singles. The victory by Le was her 12th in a row. Le also teamed with
Maggie Russell to defeat Washburn's team of Caitlin Day and Jennifer Keiner at No. 1 doubles.
The Lady Blues, now 14-2 overall,won their sixth straight match and improved their all time record to 6-0 against the Mavericks.
The Mavericks(13-5,6-0 NCC) will now take their perfect conference record into the North Central Conference Tournament set for next weekend in St. Cloud, Minn.
