Omaha Vice Chancellor / Director of Athletics Adrian Dowell released the following statement regarding the softball program's consideration for an at-large invitation to the NCAA Division I Softball Championship:

"Our softball program has consistently demonstrated it belongs on the national stage, combining a challenging schedule with sustained success against quality opponents throughout the season. This group has shown resilience, depth and the ability to compete with anyone, anywhere, which is exactly what the NCAA Championship demands. We are confident that Omaha's full body of work this season reflects a consistent top ranked mid-major program worthy of at-large consideration by the selection committee."
