GREENWOOD, Ind. –– Omaha Softball placed five student-athletes on this year's College Sports Communicators® Academic All-District Team®, it was announced Tuesday.
Seniors
Ava Rongisch and
Taylor Sedlacek joined juniors
Maddia Groff,
Rylinn Groff and
Katherine Johnson as honorees this academic year.
In order to be named to the Academic All-District Team®, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be a sophomore and above, compete in 90% of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66% of the institution's games.
Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions.
