OMAHA, Neb. –  Omaha Baseball (10-15) continues Summit League play this weekend, hosting Oral Roberts (18-12) riding momentum after a taking two of three at St. Thomas to close March. The Mavericks sit in second place behind the Golden Eagles. 

First pitch is set for 6 p.m. CT at Tal Anderson Field in Omaha, Nebraska on Friday and Saturday, followed by a 1 p.m. CT start to close out the three-game set Sunday. The series will stream on the Summit League Network.

The Mavericks showed offensive firepower against the Tommies, opening Saturday's doubleheader on March 28 with a dominant 12-2 win before falling in the nightcap,  responding Sunday with an 11-7 victory to secure the series. 

In the finale, the Mavericks' offense led the way once again, totaling 15 hits and jumping out early before holding off a late rally on March 29. Henry Zipay paced the lineup with four hits, including his first home run of the season, while Sam Beck delivered five strong innings, allowing one run on three hits to earn the win. 

Beck was later named Kwik Star Peak Pitcher of the Week, the Summit League announced on Tuesday, March 31.

Continuing to anchor the Maverick lineup and shine in the Summit League is Jackson Trout. The Nebraska native is hitting .390 with a team-best 39 hits and 12 doubles, while also leading the league in batting average and OPS (1.021). 

Following the upcoming weekend at home, Omaha makes its way to K-State in Manhattan, Kansas, for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, April 14. The single game will stream on ESPN+. The Mavericks will then travel to Fargo, North Dakota for a series against North Dakota State from April 17-19 for Summit League play with the games airing on the Summit League Network.
