SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –– Omaha Softball junior left-handed pitcher Maddia Groff has been named the Kwik Star Summit League Peak Pitcher of the Week in back-to-back weeks and the fourth overall time this season.

Groff went 1-0 with two appearances, including a start against No. 1/4 Nebraska on April 21. The Omaha native worked in nine innings, striking out 11 while holding opponents to a .263 average at the plate. She logged a 0.78 ERA against the Cornhuskers and Fighting H

Omaha went 2-1 last week, sweeping a two-game series at North Dakota, securing the Mavericks at least a share of the Summit League regular-season title.

The Mavericks wrap-up the regular season this week at Creighton tonight at 6 p.m. CT, followed the league finale at South Dakota beginning Friday.
