Connie Claussen Field in a State of Softball Showdown. The Cornhuskers are the highest-ranked opponent to ever play at
Connie Claussen Field.

Omaha is expected to break the
Connie Claussen Field attendance record Tuesday, surpassing 1,537 fans (March 26, 2025 vs. Nebraska). This season, Omaha has welcomed 8,386 fans to
Connie Claussen Field over 10 home outings. The cumulative attendance is the highest in Omaha Softball history.
The Mavericks enter the mid-week matchup following a three-game sweep of South Dakota State, locking in a perfect home Summit League record for the first time in head coach
Mike Heard's tenure.
Omaha is 9-23 all-time against the Cornhuskers with the Mavericks last defeating UNL in Lincoln on March 20, 2024, 5-2. Nebraska has won three straight against the Mavericks dating back to last season.
In Omaha's last outing (Sunday vs. South Dakota State),
Katherine Johnson and
Emma Durr each homered to lead the Mavs to a 5-1 Senior Day win over South Dakota State at
Connie Claussen Field. The victory completed a weekend sweep for the Mavericks (29-8), who improved to 11-1 in Summit League play and finished conference home action a perfect 9-0. Johnson opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the first, while Durr sealed the win with a three-run shot in the sixth.
Maddia Groff tossed a four-hitter with nine strikeouts, retiring the first 11 batters she faced as Omaha controlled the game throughout.
Omaha continues conference play with a two-game series at North Dakota beginning Thursday, April 23.
