OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Women's Tennis will host Western Illinois on Friday, Feb. 20, before heading over to Creighton on Sunday, Feb. 22.
The Mavericks (5-5) have won three in a row, with their most recent wins being home victories over Missouri State and Northern Iowa. Their last three wins have all been 6-1.
Four Mavs have established win streaks in singles. Junior Khayli Buckels (Ballwin, Mo.), freshman Shelby Smith (Leawood, Kan.) and sophomore Nina Wiese (Flushing, N.Y.) have all won three in a row. Sophomore Katelynn Kock (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) has won four in a row.
Omaha has a 9-2 record against Western Illinois and has won the past three meetings. Creighton leads the series 18-1 all-time. Last season, the Mavericks beat the Bluejays for the first time in program history with a 5-2 margin of victory.
Friday's match is set to begin at 7 p.m. CT, and Sunday's match will start at 2 p.m. CT. Both matches will have live stats and a live stream available.
