Women’s Tennis to host Concordia, Sioux Falls in home opener

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Women's Tennis will host Concordia (Neb.) and Sioux Falls in a doubleheader on Friday, Jan. 23 to open the home schedule.

The Mavericks (0-3) opened the spring dual season in Lincoln, Neb. with a neutral-site match against James Madison and a doubleheader against Nebraska. Junior Khayli Buckels (Ballwin, Mo.) secured the lone point of the match against JMU with a 6-3, 6-7 (2), 10-7 win at No. 2 doubles.

Omaha only secured one point through both matches against the Huskers. In the second match of the day, both the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams pulled off a win to secure the ever-important doubles point.

The Mavericks hold a 1-0 record over Concordia (Neb.) with a 9-0 win over the Bulldogs in 2010 and a 4-0 record against Sioux Falls with the most recent win a 7-0 sweep last season.

Play kicks off against Concordia (Neb.) at 11 a.m. CT and Sioux Falls at 1:30 p.m. CT. Both matches will be live streamed and have live stats available.
