OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Women's Tennis will open the 2026 dual season with a neutral-site match against James Madison before playing a doubleheader against Nebraska.
The Mavericks will face JMU on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. CT at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln, Neb. Omaha has never faced the Dukes in regular season play.
On Sunday, the Mavs will be back in action to face Nebraska twice. The first match of the day will kick off at 12 p.m. CT and the second at 4 p.m. CT. Omaha has never beaten the Huskers. Last season, sophomore
Katelynn Kock (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) secured the first match win against the Huskers in team history with a 5-7, 6-4, 10-7 win over Yuzu Miyoshi.
Head coach
Adam Summitt welcomes three newcomers this season,
Corinne Barber (Lincoln, Neb.),
Grace Greenwald (Omaha, Neb.) and
Shelby Smith (Leawood, Kan.).
All three matches will be streamed through PlaySight. Live stats will be available for both matches against Nebraska.
