SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Omaha is 2-0-1 all-time against SIUE, reaching back to 1999 when the Mavericks defeated the Cougars 2-1 at SIUE. During their second meeting on Aug. 26, 2000, the Mavs took down the Cougars 3-0. In 2024, SIUE traveled to Omaha with a 1-1 result at Caniglia Field.

SIUE finished the 2024 season 2-7-2 overall and 1-3-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Sophomores MaryClaire Imig and Emma Czech return to the Cougars' 2025 roster after earning All-Newcomer team honors during their freshman campaign.

Imig, a forward from St. Louis, scored two goals, including one in her debut, and added three assists. Czech, a defender from Lockport, Illinois, tallied one goal and one assist.

In Omaha's most recent meeting against Lindenwood, the Mavericks defeated the Lions 2-0 on Aug. 18, 2024, at Caniglia Stadium. The teams first met in 2022 in St. Charles, Missouri, where the Mavs earned a 1-0 win.
Lindenwood opened the 2025 season 2-0, its best start since 2020. On Sunday, Rachel Jackson netted the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Murray State, with Tanseem Dizdarevic providing the assist.

After the road trip, Omaha women's soccer returns home to face Nebraska on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m. CT at Caniglia Field. Tickets are on-sale now at OMavs.com/Tickets and 402-554-MAVS.
